1. Shirley Ware - Beginner Machine Appliqué
One day class. Students will learn machine appliqués using zig-zag or blanket stitch and fusible web to create several squares with and Adirondack theme that can be used in a wall hanging, table runner or full size quilt

2. Linda Bennett—Strip Bars Finished size: 61” x 75” Skill level: Beginner with experience This quilt is very easy to put together with a end result! By using 34 – 2½” strips (jelly rolls or Bali pops are great*) and a border/setting fabric you will have this quilt top done in no time at all. Limit 15 students 3. Rae Peer—Hand Applique, Sweet Lullabies Wall Hanging Floral
Student will learn to appliqué beautiful shapes and designs, utilizing a traditional needle-turn appliqué technique. Sewing is done by hand using small, almost invisible stitches. The appliqué methods Rae will be teaching are specifically designed to be faster and easier and can be adapted to any project. Kits will be available for purchase. Limit 10 Students
4. Lu Corts—Magic Oh what fun you will have making this very easy, very rewarding quilt! I had a time naming it because with this technique, you will make all these perfectly mitered corners without even knowing you are doing it! I didn’t put the “m” word in the title for fear it would scare you off. Don’t be afraid! You can do it with your eyes closed! Limit 15 5. Shea Farrell Carr - Tote Basket with Shaker Handles A very useful basket! The flexible rim makes it good to carry in the car tucked behind the seat or to throw over your shoulder and tuck under your arm. Perfect for quilting fabric. Both beginner and experienced weavers will enjoy this class. Pick your strap and basket colors to personalize. All materials and tools are supplied for a fee of $25.00 Basket measures: base 14x7 Height 10” It is made with natural reed. 6. Open Studio - with Bev Stellges & Pat Flath Each "camper" brings your own project to work on and bring your own supplies. Pat Flath & Bev Stellges will be facilitating Open Studio Open Daily This is a class of building a dimensional fabric collage using the lines on the fabric for quilting texture, and adding quilted fabric shapes, trims, yarns, buttons, sticks, beads, ribbons, polished stones, etc in an art quilt style. Day 2 Tuesday, June 29, 2010 Discover the endless possibilities with painted fusible web. You will learn this fun and easy technique using steam-a-seam and jacquard lumiere paints. We will also experiment with silk photo transfers and a product called lutrador. Combing our experimental pieces we’ll create an amazing luminous art quilt hanging. Basic sewing skills needed, but more importantly a desire to create and play. Limit 10 8. Linda Bennett - Strip Cocktail This quilt is made entirely from 2½” strips. It is super fast and easy to make. By using 56 - 2½” strips (jelly rolls or Bali pops work great here*) you will have this quilt top done in an afternoon. Limit 15 9. Shirley Ware - Children Class SPECIAL Ages 8 - 14 - "Quillow" All other supplies and equipment will be provided. Children will make a Quillow. A 40” X 70” quilt that folds into a pillow, when folded it looks like a pillow and when unfolded it is a quilt with a pouch for your feet. The Pillow will have a machine appliquéd bear on a background fabric and a border fabric to frame the pillow. After a little practice for sewing machine control, and basic sewing skills, the students will get “Quilt Cash” to go shopping at the vendors to pick out fabric for their pillow and the quilt. This is an active class that will keep the students busy for 2 days. If time permits students may have the opportunity to create other items such as a tote bag and zip pouch. Children should pack a lunch and bathing suit so if the weather is good we can spend our lunch hour at the beach. Shirley Ware is a certified NYS Red Cross life guard and Water Safety Instructor. We will make 12" blocks that all have to do with the wonderfully inviting aspects of the Adirondacks: Mountain Roads, Evergreen, Darting Birds, Forest Path, Bear's Paw, and more! “
12. Wenda Coburn - Quilting-As-U-Go! Move your quilting along, get your quilts done like you want and by yourself! Learn the 4 basic techniques to assemble quilted sections into beautiful quilts. Increase your machine quilting skills too! (No one will know you used the quilt-as-you-go techniques!) Limit 15 Skill level: beginner with experience This quilt looks terrific in any fabric palate! The creative, yet simple, design element is achieved by strip piecing 2½” wide strips (jelly rolls or Bali pops are great*) followed by clever rotary cutting. Limit 15 15. We will learn many designs, practice, practice, practice and then construct our practice piece into this fun BIG bag to carry our quilting goodies home.
