Can I change classes after I send in my registration?
You may not switch out of classes once you are registered. If you decide to change classes the switch can only be made only at registration on Sunday, June 24th space permitted.
Where can I get my quilting kits and supplies?
This event is being sponsored by Log Cabin Fabrics in Selkirk NY. 518-767-2040. We encourage our students to support Log Cabin Fabrics and purchase all materials through the vendor. Log Cabin will take pre-orders for kits and supplies and have it available for you upon arrival. One less thing to pack!
How much does it cost?
Three days of classes for early registration is $185.. After June 1 the price will be $210 for three days..
The daily rate is $80.. After June 1 the daily rate will be $85.
Kids Class is a two-day class and is $140. Sewing machines are provided.
What if something happens and I can't come to quilt camp?
There is a $50 deposit/cancellation fee per registration. There will be no refunds after June 1st. Refunds can take up to two - three months to process due to office procedure. Please note only payment accepted is checks or money orders. All fees must be paid in full to guarantee spot in your classes. We will refund your tuition except for the non- refundable $50 cancellation fee for administrative costs if you cancel before June 1st. If you cancel after June 1st there will be no refunds, but you could send a friend in your spot. Let us know.
I'm taking classes with materials fees. When do I pay that?
Some classes have additional materials fees. To minimize delays in refunds we are asking for separate checks for basket classes. If you get in the class we will process your check. You must send in the additional materials fees with registration - as a separate check.
I've registered but my supply list hasn't arrived.
Class supply lists will be sent out in March and will be sent out in the order in which they are received.
Does the $185 cover lodging and dining?
No, food/dining is not included in price. But it does cover the wonderful talent we are able to invite to Long Lake to teach our classes as well as cover the cost of staff, lodging and the reception. We appreciate you coming and we know how must this investment is. So we want to make sure you have a great time!
What else can I do while I'm in Long Lake?
Long Lake is the place to be during the 4th of July week! Come to Quilt Camp and extend your stay. Long Lake 4th of July is a slice of traditional small town with games, Bed Races, BBQ's and Fireworks on the beach! Travel to our sister Hamlet Raquette Lake to take a cruise on the W.W. Durant or visit our area attractions including The Wild Center & Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake. For more info www.mylonglake.com
Where can I get my lunch?
LUNCH - We will be offering lunch delivery in 2018 from participating vendors. Order daily at the registration counter and have it delivered to you at the school. Bring a bagged lunch or make arrangements with local restaurant to pick up a quick take out lunch.
Should I pack coffee and snacks for my quilt class survival kit?
SNACKS - We will have snacks, coffee and tea available in the gym starting around 8:45am
Do you have cell phone service?
Cell Phones - Both AT&T & Verizon Cell Phone Service now available in Long Lake! Some tracphones and other services do work. Check your local carrier.
I have to check my email!
WIFI - There is free hi-speed WiFi available at the Long Lake Central School at the Long Lake Town Beach, the Ball Field and Mt. Sabattis.
Medical Information - we will be requesting all registered students fill out emergency information. All information will be kept confidential.
Air conditioning is limited in Long Lake so if we have a heat wave, be prepared. Pack a small fan if you know the heat gets to you! Check the weather before you leave. Long Lake, NY 12847
Bring a cart with wheels to move supplies from one classroom to the next. Have table lifters (we'll purchase some for 2018) but if you are worried about your back, it can't hurt if you know you'll be cutting.
There is an elevator at LLCS and we will have porters available in the morning from 8am to 9am to help carry your equipment. Please inquire at the registration in the gym.
